If you want to start a blog or take your current one to the next level and are in the Orange County area, I’ll be teaching a Blogging Basics workshop at FIDM in Irvine on Saturday, November 17th from 11am to 2pm (lunch is included.) This is a chance to learn all about posting, images, driving traffic, basic SEO, crediting and monetizing your blog in an inspiring and creative environment.

Social Media & Pitching the Press | July 14, 2012 ($70) From Facebook and Twitter to Pinterest and Instagram, social media is simply a must for doing business today. We will cover creating an online identity, images, copywriting, and community building. Then you’ll learn how to get press for your business in print and online. We’ll cover everything from writing a press release and crafting story ideas to pitching the media. From 10am to 5pm (it’s no problem to leave early); includes a gourmet lunch and wine tasting.
Blogging Basics Intermediate | August 25, 2012 ($45) We will cover: branding your blog, creating custom layouts, design tips, hosting ads, and SEO optimization tools for picture and video blogging. Learn to edit videos right inside of Photoshop CS6 (basic video footage will be provided). Please bring your laptop loaded with a free trial of Photoshop. From 10am to 2pm (it’s no problem to leave early); includes a gourmet lunch and wine tasting.
