Most Wanted: Warby Parker’s Ocean Avenue Collection
My friend Emily turned me onto Warby Parker, the makers of affordable and super stylish eyewear and sunglasses. Since I don’t personally wear glasses (but may, ahem, own 20+ pairs of sunnies) of course I’m drawn more to these babies. But, it’s worth having a look at the entire new collection — 8 optical frames and 14 sunglasses with awesome names — which is inspired by the Coney Island boardwalk and summer fun. Plus, for every pair sold, a pair is given to someone in need.
Side note: Their frames would make a great Father’s Day gift as well (think Don Draper on vacation in Hawaii).

Gifted Ones: Cole Haan’s Colorful Kicks
The other day my Dad was wearing these amazing black Cole Haan shoes that had neon yellow soles. It was such a fresh and unexpected design that I had to investigate further. There is indeed an entire collection for men and women featuring all sorts of colorful hues and styles. Plus, Cole Haan makes some of the most comfortable shoes thanks to Nike technology (Tim wore a pair for our wedding.)
Getting Personal: A Sexy and Romantic Gift
Inspired by artist Dan Colen, I created this piece of art for Tim, and finally made use of all of the lipsticks I often forget to wear. This is an easy (and pretty romantic) gift to give your partner this holiday season. Start with lighter shades to make it easy on yourself and then put in a frame with a white matte. The whole thing took about five minutes, which is my kind of art/craft project.

Since they make sunglasses too, everyone can get in on the affordable action. Oh, and they also give a pair to someone in need for every pair that is purchased.

I don’t have any tattoos. I can’t think of anything I would want to put on my body for life, but I can appreciate people who love them.
